i was wondering what i would hear if i installed a densecharger into my GT. Would there be a noticeable difference in sound, and will it be affected by my flowmasters?

I used to wonder that too. I know on my old Maxima, installing a cold air intake when it was n/a made a huge different in sound. In fact, it changed the way the engine sounded at WOT all together.

I never hear guys on this site talking about intakes and how they effect sound. I talked to missouri_guy1979 and he said his UPR powerpipe (hybrid intake) makes the engine sound a little deeper. I would think a cold air intake would give a cool p!ssed sound, but no one has ever mentioned it. Maybe it has something to do with the intake manifold/TB design on these engines

So, theres my .02 cents. I think the densechargers tubing is plastic, which means it wouldn't have the same effect sound wise as an aluminum CAI.

Hi heard no difference. I installed my DenseCharger in 2002 as the first mod at this time and felt no acoustical difference. The engine/exhaust combination is loud enough to drown it out easily.

I remember somebody saying it sounded like "Darth Vader in your glovebox."

just triming back my air silencer produced more engine growl so i think the densecharger would too.

I noticed a deeper sound emitting from my Magnaflows. I imagine it will be pretty much the same for you.
