Wow, he must of thought you were a real A$$hole to give you a ticket for 1% over. Seriously though..... that sucks! I would be really pissed too.

Cornelius is the worst place to drive. Ever. Those cops just sit on the one highway in town and rack up tickets for everything they can get their hands on. When I lived in that area I racked up probably 10-12 tickets there, everythign from speeding, to loud stereo, to tailights being out.

While Driving this truck I got a ticket because my headlights were too high off the ground. (54 inches off the ground. Thats the limit in case you were wondering). My headlights were at 57 inches or so. He actually measured it.

(On that truck I put the low beams on the bottom, and high beams at the top. This is opposite of strock configuration. Fixed the headlight hieght problem)

And one time, in that same truck, a chunk of mud hit the cops hood. I got a ticket for inadequate mudflaps, operating an unsafe vehicle, and operation without proper exhaust system (no cats). He lectured me for 1/2 hour or so and even threatened to charge me for damage to the paint. (6 dollar carwash?). I was actually respectful to this guy considering he was such a jerk. Cornelius is great!!!

Cornelius and North Plains. I was very respectful and the **** smiled as he gave me the ticket. Hopefully he'll TASER his balls tonight.

I'm sure there are plenty of illegal aliens and tweakers to bust in that ****hole. I guess his doughnut eating ass is too ****ing lazy.

Well, that's true. However, illegal aliens and tweakers don't pay restitution. And thats the prevailing attitude with the officers, trust me. You can fine them all you want, write them a million tickets, tow their $200 car, and they are back on the streets again, causing a net loss for the city by the time it's done. There isn't enough room in the washington county jail for them, so they are set free.

Hard working citizens like you and I pay our tickets. It's a sad reality, but it's one of the reasons I moved out of that area. It's gone terribly downhill in the last 15 years or so.

Sorry to hear about that Misha. So, how did he get you? Laser? Radar? What were the traffic conditions? Weather? Are you going to fight it? If I remember correctly, there's a lawyer in WA that's got a pretty good track record for getting tickets dismissed. Do a search in the NW forum and see what you can find. I'm sure it would be more than the face value of the ticket but you and I both know that it'd be cheaper in the long run if you consider the insurance costs over the next three years.

I know what we can do. We can have a couple charity poker games with a $10 buy in and a $2 donation going to the "Misha Fund". If we did a $10 + $1 rebuy you'd probably have enough donations in one evening to pay for the ticket and your lawyer. We'll just have to make sure and invite Hellbiggy.

Congrats Misha. With all the cha ching from winning that you should be able to pay off the ticket, a lawyer and have enough left for a good radar detector.

Hey, don't know if you've heard but Spirit Mountain is having tournaments every Saturday during the month of April for either WSOP or WPT seats. It's a $70 buy in with unlimited rebuys ($50) for the first two hours and an add-on at the end of the second hour ($100). Top two players every week get a $10K buyin for an event.
