My drivers' door will not stay "open". I want to replace the tension plate that mounts to the inner, lower hinge area. I saw a video, and they say the fender doesn't need to come off. I'm not sure if that's really true since that plate is pretty well tucked in. I figure it would probably be easier to just remove the fender. Do I need to remove the front bumper cover to remove the fender? I'm thinking if I just unbolt the driver side of the cover , I can maybe just move the bumper cover out just enough to get the fender off? Any pointers or suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
