I've searched through the threads and it seems as though removal of the drip rails from my 68 coupe will be:

a) A serious pain in the butt;
b) Structurally unsound if something else is not done to reinforce the roof connections &
c) Not worth the effort if I want them to still be on the car when it is all put back together (in other words the painter can just work around them).

Are these points correct as I've stated?

Thanks for the input!

Turbo is laboring under a misconception...or else he doesn't know what he is talking about. At any rate, removing the drip rails is easy, will not effect the structural integrity of the vehicle and will be easy to be replaced if you change your mind.

I manufacture the drip rails, for all makes of cars...just tell me what the lip height you need and I can make them for you.
