I did a search on installing driprail moldings. I followed what I learned which was using a block of wood and a helper to pop them on.

This isnt really working out for me. All I have been able to accomplish is to chip alot of paint off the driprails.

What is causing me the most problems is trygn to slip the molding on at the part of the rail where it curves downward at the back, the molding just wont bend like i think it should to get the upper lip of the molding over the rail.

Its a reproduction molding...I looked at a few diffrent sources and all I saw were repro's for sale. Any suggestions before I throw the moldings in the trash and call my painter for a touch up?

i would put the top on first and then push down and in to curl the bottom on...if the paint is too thick i would either remove some paint or spread open the molding a little..., Joe

From my experience you'll never ever get the repos to fit, theyre plain junk. Ive tried them more than once on different cars. Your best bet is to find a set of nice used mouldings, they pop right on without any grief.
