Yesterday I installed the passenger seat using the stock tracks, just made new thread on the bottom holes and new holes on the upper side and it bolted right in. But today when I was going to made the same process with the drivers seat I realize the base is different (because of the motorized track right?), and I have a 3/4 inch gap between the seat base and the tracks.
My question is what have you guys done to fit stock tracks in the drivers side seat? spacers?

Thanks

67 coupe.

I used the tracks on the new seats, i took out the old seat pans to fit the seats and i am in the process of building a new one piece seatpan underneath the floorpan. I wanted the power seat, it makes me feel like im riding in a newer mustang with the great looks of the classic. As for installing the old tracks on the new seats i have no idea, but good luck!

I was thinking of putting some kind of spacers, but I dont know if they provide a secure hold.

I made a set of adapters/spcers for my 2001 seats in my 66. My buddy used stacked washers and has not had any issues. He laughs at me for the time I spent on the adpaters, but I feel a little safer with a solid piece.

Thanks. I did find an spacer, but then I realized that the contact area is very small, I think that the stack of washers is a good idea, I just need to find a strong glue and pile them up.

Washers = Spacers

Just use a bunch of washers to take up the gap on the opposite side of the tracks.

The spacers I made matched the contour of the seat. I have a solid piece the entire length of the rail.
