Does anyone have pics of drivers side alternator mounts on there SBF's? I have a Vortech on mine, and im running serpentine belts, so i have to mount the alternator on the drivers side, and it needs to be adjustable so i can put tension on it. Thanks

What type of serpantine are you running?

I can get you pics of the stock 87-93 mount, or the earlier speed density with A/C and smog.

My setup is only water pump, alternator and crank. The water pump is a 69, so it exits passanger side, right where the alternator would normally mount. So i need to us the alternator as a tensioner on the driver side. I think im ganna have to make a mount for the alternator and use a turnbuckle to tighen things up.

I used the stock mounts for the V belt and only ran the water pump and alt.

I measured with a piece of string, then bought a belt that was the same size. Using the stock mount to alt mount to tension the belt.

Well, this would be easy if i wasnt using the vortech S-trim from a 5.0. (which is why i need serpintine setup.) I did find a setup on allfordmustangs, so im looking into that.

Not sure what you need but I used the stock mounting from an '85 Linc. Town Car 302. This car had the alt. and power steering mounted below it and was a ribbed belt.

If memory serves me correctly mine is off of an mid 80's LTD.
There is some adjustment as the alt. swings over meaning you will not have to have a sprung idler taking up the slack. I am also in the process of installing a Bogesson Box and this mount is perfect since below the alt. is a spot for a Fox Body style P.S. pump.
