duel exhaust

dual exhaust

I just bought a 2004 coupe...my husband to be has a mach 1...he is putting loud mouths on his car soon...can i take the dual exhaust off his car and put on mine?

yes, you will just have to have a midpipe fabricated for your car.

No you won't. This is a common misconception. You can just do straight pipes. The firing pattern on the V6 is such that no two pistons that are firing are on the same side, so there is plenty of space for the exhaust to flow without the need for a midpipe.

About the straight pipes, I heard having a crossover pipe is good for backpressure and sound. Any comments?

it is true that you dont NEED a mid pipe, but i'd presume from her post she wants it to be louder, and you get it louder when you put an X on there.
