I always thought GT meant "Badass Car with a V8" Oops, guess I am late. Now that I think about it, back in the 5.0 days... you could get a Mustang 5.0 or the GT w/5.0. The GT just had more ammenities... so I would assume GT really does stand for Grand Tourer in this case.
