IM new to the Mustangs and i've always been curious what does the GT stand for ??

Well a "GT" car means Grand Touring.... but I doubt that it has the same meaning here.

I always thought GT meant "Badass Car with a V8"

Oops, guess I am late.

Now that I think about it, back in the 5.0 days... you could get a Mustang 5.0 or the GT w/5.0.

The GT just had more ammenities... so I would assume GT really does stand for Grand Tourer in this case.

gt means gran turisimo (sp?) which translates to grand touring.

lol. yea, GT used to mean a bad ass V8 but nowadays it seems that it's what the lil disposables are goin by.
