I'd be happy with 270hp...i think that's ballpark. Then again people my buddy has one of those desktop dyno deals and he said vehicle weight and mph translate to about 300rwhp. I'd be psyched if it made 300hp.

I will say, it drives like it has tons more top end than bottom end...possibly because of the cam that i'm using. It's got a lot of bottom end but really starts screaming at 3k+.

Give Cincy a call Doc, they'll give you 2 base pulls with no tuning for $50 if you just wanna find out what it's making, or it's $75 with an air/fuel reading, or $125 an hour for full on tuning. I'm going for the air/fuel reading and then if it turns out that my jetting is off i'll just have them throw jets in it while it's there and see how the numbers change.

I've got an old article in one of the mags where they put the same intake i'm running and a Demon 575 carb on a stock head/cam 302 in a Capri...it has exhaust and stripped accessories, and it made 240hp at the wheels (don't recall the torque). That's with a stock cam and stock heads and a smaller carb than i have. If this thing does't make at least 275hp i'll be shocked.

Wow no kidding!

I had paperwork showing the top end of my engine was built by Pauls Auto....have you heard of it?

I have no paperwork showing any dyno numbers or anything. So I'm curious. The shortblock came from Excessive Motorsports....but I have nothing but a receipt so I don't know whats in her. But thus I have an oil/coolant leak now. THe rebuild is at least 3 years old, altho miles are low.

I know Pauls has a good rep.

The receipts show tuning by Pauls.....but mine has no chip.....so it makes me wonder.....unless they burnt the puter. It runs ok, but I think it could run a lot better.

Maybe I'll run a dyno run for $50. That's nothing really compared to what I've heard. I'm such a noob on Foxes though that I'm not sure what to do. You should come out to the house sometime man....beer on me.

PM me sometime.

I'll say that your RWHP may be closer to 300... Maybe 280-290ish. But just because its a carbed car, I'm gonna say torque in the ~300 range, I think these guys with the 320 ft-lb guesses are forgetting its not EFI. As I'm sure you know, carbed cars tend to have good power numbers with somewhat less torque than an EFI car.

I'm curious to see what it makes, I like your combo... Very unique.
