i thought the "racer" intake was if you had a lot more mods than stock and/or planned on doing a lot of gnarly mods?

Yup. I think JLT is actually supposed to give you maybe 1hp more, but I like the look of the C&L a lot better, so I'll sacrifice that.

It'll be there tomorrow. I'm going to top off the gas tank on my way home from work (i just put 93 in the other day to get it ready for the tune) and install it when I get home, so I'll update you tonight. I'll try to get down the dyno Thursday if I can.

It's everything I could ask for. It works great, fit well, and the performance is outstanding. I took it out to a road I was at a few weeks ago, and it's a completely different car. It has even altered the sound quite a bit. When you go WOT, you can really hear a difference. It sounds a lot more muscular. I can't wait to get to the dyno, now. With the '05, we put a bunch of parts on at once, so I couldn't really tell which parts did what, but the intake and tune definitely did the most out of the bolt-ons we've done (besides gears, of course).

Clubsfit, was that bama tune the "race" or "performance tune"?

I'm going to give bama a shot when I get my SLP LT's on.

I've still got a few bugs to get worked out of the tune. My AFR was really rich, and I couldn't get it to where I needed with only the user end adjustments. I ended up at 271, which is a 22 hp increase over stock. I'm not very happy with that, though, and have sent Doug an email to get the tune fixed. I don't blame it all on him, as even when the car was stock, the AFR was too rich. In fact, stock the AFR went down to 9:1... With his tune the lowest was 11.4:1...

If you absolutely want the tuner/CAI combo ? then I would definitely recommend the Steeda/SCT package from Brenspeed..However, you can also purchase the Steeda intake from Steeda directly, and then get both you're SCT X-CAL and tunes, from either Bamachip's or Brenspeed, just as I did..In fact, if you're really interested in the Steeda intake ? I can refer you over to the same sales associate, who I purchased mine from at their discounted price..I can also tell you, that the Steeda CAI produces similar HP and Torque gains, as the JLT and C&L racer intakes, and is just as good..If you take a look at the dyno sheet collection thread ? you'll notice that my Stang made 293 HP and 309 ft. lbs Torque, with my Bamachip's 93 race tune, Steeda underdrive pulleys, and Steeda cold air intake..I've also been running my Steeda intake and Bamachip's 93 race tune, well over a year now and have never ran across any problems whatsoever, and can assure you that you will not be disappointed..Anyway, if you're interested in purchasing the Steeda intake at the discounted price ? just send me a PM, and I'll refer you over to the same sales associate from Steeda directly

Yeah, as much as I've been talking Doug up lately, I opened my mouth way too soon. I really like the guy, and know that he's very busy, but I need to get this resolved. Hopefully he'll come through for me and I can sing praises. But if I don't get the tunes fixed in the next week or so, I'll have to sell the tuner and just have my local dyno guy tune it with a predator (since he's not a SCT tuner). He seems to know what he's doing, I just like giving business to Doug 'cuz he's a good guy, and I got great service from him in the past, like a lot of other people.

Hi guys, I have an 07 Cervini C-300 with many bolt ons:
MSD Coil on plug connectors, MMR TB, MMR CAI, JBA Shortys, Magnaflow X-pipe, Magnaflow Catback, SCT Livewire Tuner, I mustang dynoed at 280hp and 286tq with my 20 inch rims and canned 93 tune. I felt this was low considering the numbers other member were claiming. Since installed a 93 octane Brenspeed tune and a huge difference but still more gains are possible I feel. No dyno numbers yet. What do you guys think my #'s should be? You comments are appreciated.

It's hard to say with those wheels....... as an example, I lost 20 rwhp & rwtq when I went from the factory 17" bullitts to 18" chrome bullitts.

Those are very nice numbers indeed, especially for a canned Predator 91 tune

Brenspeed vs. Bama

Hi guys, I've been running a 93 Octane Brenspeed tune as of late. Amazing! to say the least. What a difference from the pre programmed tunes on my livewire. Just for kicks I ordered Bama tunes as well because everyone says there the best. I got the 93 torque, 93 performance, and 93 Race. They arent even close to the performance of the Brenspeed tune. I tried to contact Doug but havent gotten a response yet. Dont know why but they are just horrible and they throw the check engine light. If you havent gotten a custom tune on your programmers yet, I highly recommend them. Most mail order tunes are conservative. I would love to have my Brenspeeds tune cranked up even more. THE CAR WOULD ABSOLUTELY RIP!!!!

Mods- MSD COP's, MMR TB, MMR CAI, JBA Shortys, Magnaflow X-pipe, Magnaflow Magnapacks, 3.55's, 20" wheels, Mustang Dyno'd at 280hp and 290tq without the COP's and Brenspeed tune?!!!

Later fellas

Not to contradict you, but our '05 put down 287 on a 91 octane Bamachips tune, even with a small bit of AFR trouble, and we don't have a TB or headers. I just bought a 93Race tune for the '07 so I can compare bama and brenspeed side by side and see what happens. With the mods you have, I would think you'd be very close, if not over, 300. As I've said before, though, without stock numbers, your current numbers don't mean a whole lot. Stock was about 250 on the dyno I used, so we gained 37HP with intake, o/r x pipe, magnaflow straight-thru muffs, and tune.
