So after quite awile I managed to get the Comet strapped down on a dynojet 248x at "Mid Atlantic Diesel" in Mt. Airy, MD and did some minor tweaking. I was very happy and very suprised with the results and were the engine made power to.

Mods
306,Stock balanced bottom end,524/544 HYD Flat Tapett, 10:1 TRW flat's,AFR 165 Comp's,Air Gap,750 Holley, BP 93oct pump

337hp@6,950 Why it made power up there with a po dunk hyd cam I have no clue

12.9:1 to 13.0:1 air/fuel

What do you guys think ??

Thanks, Coop

Sounds pretty freakin awesome to me!!! My little 302 only made power to 5100rpm!!! Looks like a really stout combo and that you have it pretty well tweaked as well!

sounds a little goofy . . . do you have a dyno graph that you can post?

I guess with 240ish @ .050" duration/110lsa it is possible, just sounds like maybe it spiked out there on the line.

Yeah that seems to be the question. Ive gotten pretty torn up on other forums when I posted the graph and video, people have just come right out and called BS with not much suport on why. What else can I do ?? Some have suggested converter issues, maybe just not suted for the dyno ?? Im not boasting about anything just posting my runs up.

Well personally, my thoughts are that you don't have enough cam and you're running a duel plane intake and neither one of them are up for running peak power to 7k but i guess anything is possible. Mine peaked at 6300...maybe if i switched to a 750 mine would be a bit higher..who knows. I feel ya with the people calling BS...i can't tell you how many people have told me "oh your heads aren't really '69 351's you just painted them to look like they're iron" and "on where are you hiding the nitrous". It gets old but whatever it takes for people to feel good about themselves
