92 notch 302 edelbrock performer rpm heads 2.02/ 1.60, b303, mac long tubes 2.5" mac h-pipe muffs/tails, stock ported upper/lower intake, 70mm t-body-egr, k/n, 150hp NX wet system, 3:73s, msd 6al/tfi coil, 40 psi fuel at idle k my question guys should i get the 24 pounders or will the 19s keep up, im kinda new at the fuel injection, and dont wanna lean my girl out at 6 grand any suggestions on anything in my setup would be great thanks

I would run 24s at least and maybe even 30s. Are you pistons notched to clear the 2.02 Edel valves, or do you have different pistons?

I would run 24# injectors, but I think you may be able to get away with 19# injectors until you get a bigger upper and lower intake.

24's are plenty (www.pro-flow.com -- select meter sizing and scroll down for info on HP vs. injector size). You're probably right on the edge with 19's. Who ported your lower/upper? Unless they really know what they're doing, you may be limiting your whole combo with that intake.

Investing $60 bucks in a wide band dyno run would tell you how your stock 19's are doing keeping up the with the engine's fuel needs. I'd invest in that before I put the money into maf and injectors.

if you get an RPM intake or soemthing else good aftermarket, i would say 30s. normally that might be a bit big, but your also spraying on it too. Better safe than sorry.

His spray is a wet system - supplies the extra fuel separate from the injector. If he were spraying with a dry system, I'd agree with the need for 30's. But with wet, it's extra size that doesn't benefit in any way.

Ported properly, the stock intake can flow comparably with the Cobra/GT40/Explorer intakes. If it was a good port job, it can work just fine with his combo; and he makes his big stuff with the juice - when you 'pour' the power in with nitrous, the intake isn't nearly so much of an issue.

thanks guys i ported the upper to match the gaskets between the plenum, and matched the lower to my heads they were ported intake side only on a flow becnh, i notched out the the reliefs on the stock pistons myself. intake is goin first money i have, but i think i should get the 24's. thanks guys

Sounds like your intake was 'port matched', not ported. I'd do the intake first - what you have there sounds like it's a big bottle neck to flow.
