All I wanna know is how long it'll be before I can retrofit a setup similar to this into my Fox...

I mean, yeah, it'll suck to be losing out on the smell and sound of nitromethane dragsters n' stuff at the track, but there's still the pungent stench of burning rubber to enjoy. Oh, and ... *shudders with delight* ... INSTANT TORQUE.

I still wanna see one of those Tesla Roadsters running the 1/4 mile...

Smart cars ain't 100% electric, last I checked ... although that's still pretty damned cool, though. I mean, the guy probably only had, what, a TOTAL of about $25k in the whole thing, and he whooped a $150k+ car? I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit that, if I were shopping for a brand-new car for a DD, I'd probably snap up a Smart car when they release them in the US market, pretty soon ... although it would certainly help if they produced them with a slightly more potent motor ... and/or a full-electric model, which I can totally see as a realistic possibility.

These hybrid cars are kind of a band-aid. If they really wanna get serious about emissions-free cars, 100% electric- or hydrogen-powered cars are the only way to go, and dudes like the maker(s) of the KillaCycle are whom they need to be taking advice from in making them happen.

I'm still turned on by the very concept of instant torque. I mean, how much easier would it be to do a wheelstand in a Fox with slicks/suspension if it didn't have to ramp up to achieve its peak torque? And how badass would that be to drive something like that on the street? No more having to wait until you're halfway up the powerband to grab peak power - just mash the pedal and you've got it. *sound of steel boner tearing through cloth*
