Hey,

I just had a question about the ECT Sensor. Wondering if this took very long to remove and clean or replace. I hope that it will fix a studdering that my car makes on cold mornings when I start it and drive. Prolly will grab the part and replace it later tonight.

Thanks and glad to join the community!

About five minutes. Be sure you have a 1" deep socket. I am not sure a parts store will have it though. You could try the Ford dealership if you need it fast but www.50resto.com has them cheap if you are willing to wait.

Great thanks. I'll post if the problem was fixed if anyone was having similar problems.

I would stick with the Ford sensor, my $15 Checker one went bad in about 9 months. Check the wiring while you're on it, just to make sure it's in good shape. My wiring went bad as well.

50resto sells Motorcraft so you will be OK if you go with them.
