i noticed on my buddys 99 GT that his egr has a pipe that goes down to his exhaust manifold. but on my 5.0 it just bolts to the TB and has no piping..how does it work?
The EGR passages are cast into the heads and intake manifold. If you pull the upper manifold, you will find a circular hole in the center: that is the EGR passage. The heads have a small hole cast in them between the two inner intake ports. That hole connects to the exhaust ports.
