If i want to delete my EGR valve on my stroker what do i need to get? I rushed myself and ordered a 75mm edelbrock EGR Spacer from summit, but i took out my heater tubing under the upper plenum, which supply coolant to the spacer, i know it doesnt need coolant to the spacer i would just bypass it.

but what i would like to do, is eliminate the EGR spacer and valve because it is ugly and serves no purpose.

An EGR delete plate that holds the throttle cable will leave the EGR valve sensor hanging, which i think will throw a code. I found a plug-in on fordfuelinjection.com that will eliminate the check engine light by throwing .50 volts at the egr sensor simulating a closed EGR valve. The plug-in is a 20 dollar part, but i am taking the car to get a custom tune after i get it running which will eliminate the code anyways.

Anyways, my question is what do i need to do this? the EGR Eliminator plate and the plug-in? has anybody done this before who might be able to give me an idea?

Plug-in:
RJM Injection Tech EGR Eliminators

Eliminator Bracket
Steeda EGR Eliminator Brackets - JEGS

another thing to consider, could i use the 75mm EGR spacer and block off the back where the valve bolts up and just get the plug-in egr sensor simulator to trick the computer?

need opinions guys, thanks alot

Throw the valve away, put a block off plate on the back of the EGR spacer, and turn EGR off in your chip. You can make a block off plate out of sheet metal.

I agree.. UPR sells a block off plate for like $5 or something and i've seen in more then one case where someone used one of those egr spacer deletes and it relocated there throttle cable too much which caused binding etc which is why I would go with just the block off plate to the rear of the spacer that you already have.

what about the coolant lines that are supposed to run through the spacer? i can just cap off the lines on the spacer and it will be fine, i dont even know why the coolant runs through there.

You don't need the coolent lines to the spacer but I think its suppose to prevent the spacer from becoming a hot spot in the intake track and to help with icing up conditions but i've never had a problem on either of my mustangs and I've seen plenty with them bypassed as well
