Electric Cutout Help

I was looking at getting some of these:

Does anyone know what the diameter of the stock exhaust is?

Anyone ever install this sort of thing?

The 5.0 exhaust is 2.75".
The 3.7 exhaust is 2.5"

Electric cutouts are pretty neat, but not terribly reliable if installed too far forward. Heat kills. Best use would be just ahead of the axle for dumps after the resonators. Too close to the cats and they may die early.

What are the resonators?

Small muffler type device mounted under the middle of the car, after the cats, Look like a glasspack type muffler.
