I will be ordering my 130amp alternator today and would also like to do a electric fan also. Could you guys recommend one for me. I am getting the alternator for Late Model Restoration and they have a Moshimito dual fan set up for 200 bucks. Does anyone use one of these. Thanks for any help

The Contour fan fits like a glove also. They are cheap at the pick and pull junk yards also. I got 2 setups for 30 bucks.

Whats up with the Black Magic fans, I found someone who will sell me on really cheap, like 50 bucks.

The Contour/Mystique fans can't be beat. You can use any year the car was made with a V6. Like stated above they fit great and are cheap from the junk yard. Here is mine mounted to the radiator.

Black magic is barely rated at the the stock output without AC... Some people do have luck with them but it really doesn't hold a candle to the many other options out there. Honestly OEM fans are the best way to go... If a company will install it on a factory car, seeing that cooling is vital to the longevity of a motor and ultimately warranty issues, it tends to be a pretty decent fan...

Dont' forget to include the '99-up V6 Mercury Cougar in that mix.

They cool well though. I've got a dual fan set up from a Mystique on my '06 F-150 FX4 and it cools the big 5.4L powered 6,500lb behemoth without issue.

One of the Mustang magazines (either MM&FF or 5.0L Mustangs & SF...I can't remember which) did a Tech install article of the V6 Countor fan on a Fox body ealier this year. Do a little searching and you'll probably find it.

Basically go to the junkyard with a tap measure.

Measure the width and hieght of the radiator, and the distance to the WP pulley. Now roam through the yard and find something that fits.

SN95 fans, Mark 8/thunderbird fansm taurus, contour, Viper, etc etc etc.

Lots of fans you can use

Thanks for all the help guys, I actualy just picked up the Black Magic Fan and a Ford Motorsports 3 row radiator today. I know the guy really well that I got it from and he gave them to me for free. So if it works great if not I will be doing a Taurus fan. again thanks for the help
