it's the tensioner pulley, you need to upgrade to a steel one, like $40 or so

I had some squeeking when i'd shift really fast and the engine would torque... I solved that by getting the Gatorback serpentine belt. Great stuff. Havnt heard anything yet.

Thanks highvolts for the belt tip. I get the same thing and everyone tells me it is the TOB and I keep saying not it's not! It's the god damn belt!!! I will have to pick one up this winter and tie it in with my MOD fest in the spring.

I also solved that problem with a gatorback belt. When my auto hit second gear(at full throttle) it would sqeak everytime.

who the hell puts a friction reducer on a friction belt. no wonder it squeaks. Go to the auto parts store and buy something called "Belt Dressing" it is made for squeaky belts. You should never use WD-40 or oil on a serpentine belt.

before you go out and buy anything you might want to invest some quarters into the local car wash pressure washer. add some of that degreasing agent and pressure rinse it. let it dry before taking it out and see if that made any difference.
Don't use any oil on your belt.
