Hi everyone,
Next weekend is when I'm going to pull the 2.3T and A4LD out of the TurboCoupe. My mustang 2.3L has a lift bracket on the front of the engine on the driver's side and one on the rear of the engine on the passenger side. However, the TC only has the lift bracket in the front. Nothing in the rear. I haven;t had the IC off yet, but I can't find the lift bracket back there. Any ideas on how to lift it? I lift the engine and Trans as one piece. I thought about taking the bracket off the Mustang and bolting it to the TC, but I'm sure to snap the bolt if I try to turn it (then I'll have two engines with only one lift bracket).
Any suggestions?

WES

Does the TC engine have a bolt with a stud end somewhere near the back of the engine? If it does, the easiest way to lift the enging out is to just put the chain right on the stud part and then thread a nut on to hold it. I lifted the engine and transmission out of an '84 Thunderbird last summer with that method and it didn't even bend the bolt.

or you can take out a bolt, slide it through a link in the chain, and bolt it back in. I did that plus a couple washers over the summer.

Ok, so I guess there's a few different options. I'll have to take the IC off and see exactly what I have to work with.
Thanks for the replies,
WES
