if your fuel pump couldnt keep up with the minimal requirements of the ac clutch engaging it should have been obvious
going wot with a weak fuel pump is the most common cause of blown engines, just ask the lightning crowd thats the #1 cause of rod failure for them
being a 2005+ it has drive ny wire thus there is no iac valve and replacing a stock for stock tb is as simple is unplugging unbolting and swapping the new one on.
if u have larger cams and the engine stalls when the ac is turned on then your tune needs to be fixed. On all ford vehicles with larger cams it should be near impossible to stall an engine if the tuner did their job of dialing in the cams correctly. If anything it should have severely over compensated by raising the rpms high.
you do not have a fuel pressure regulator on 99-10 mustangs they are returnless and pcm controlled.
