Engine Tick?

I've recently noticed a tick from my engine. I doubt it's a bad lifter, I had them replaced last year. I was possibly thinking an exhaust leak. One thing I was wondering though, is it possible old or fouled plugs could cause a tick? It's been about a year since my last tune up and the car runs rich, so the plugs may be tired. I'm kinda hoping it's just a tune up thing. Any replies will help.

I had that a real bad ticking noise and it tunrned out to be header gasket
on the #4 cylynder,but it sounded like somthing internal,check gaskets around the flange.

I just had the #7 plug backing out on me, making a crazy ticking noise. I'd do the tune up anyways, and check the gaskets while you're there, and maybe your header/H pipe flanges.

Yeah, I'm gonna do the tune up. I was holding off until I ordered the Screamin' Demon coil and module. I ended up ordering it today.

my thow out bearing ticked and it sounded like the engine also.....just a thought

I know my throw out bearing is making noise also. If I press the clutch, THAT ticking sound goes away.
