Hey guys looking for some insight here. I just picked up a 1996 cobra with a bunch of work done to it from ohio. The 4.6mod motor was pulled and a 306 with a trickflow topend was put in plus lots of other goodies. The fuel injection setup is off a 1989 stang with a SCT flipchip. Obviously this car will not pass PA emmisions. I want to get a collectable tag so i don't have to worry about the emissions, I was told i have to goto a garage that does enhanced vehicle inspections. they fill out the papers and take the pictures for you, then i can goto my tag guy and send the paper work and title away to get the collectable tag all in one shot. has anybody else in PA gone through this process?, is there anything i should be aware of?. I'm in chester county.

Might want to read up on the rules for getting a collector plate.

Basically your car needs to be 15 years or older and be in STOCK condition to qualify. So your 1996 won't be eligible for a Collector Plate until 2011, and will need to be basically stock.

Your talking about a classic or antique tag, I'm talking about a collectable tag.
