Hey guys I'm looking for a new exhaust for my car. What I want is a catted H-pipe, I Have Flowmasters on it right now and I really like the way they sound the most, so what Flowmaster catback should I go with?

Thanks for the help, I'm not sure which would be the best to do. I want a H-pipe because I heard that they give a deeper sound then the x-pipe does.

I had American Thunder on my '93 GT and really liked the sound. I had a Hedman Catted H-pipe also. It droned like a mo-fo though, but that did'nt bother me. I'm sure it sounds different on the 4.6, but at that time, the American Thunder catback was the cheapest catback around.

One of my buddies has a BBK cated H pipe. It sounds pretty good. I have their catted X pipe and like the way it sounds a little more. Why dont you throw some LT's into the mix while you are at it?

If you want a slightly louder sound then the stock h pipe then get a mac or bbk or mrt catted h pipe. If you want a bada$$ sounding deep, throaty, muscle car sound then get an o/r h pipe(it's also cheaper). Just don't get an x pipe. My o/r x pipe sounds like crap with my mac flowpaths and will be buying a mac o/r h pipe tomorrow morning.

Ha?$600 for catback?! Where are you getting your carback from????
http://www.partshopper.com/shop/Flowmaster-Mustang-American-Thunder-System-m193.html

As far as H goes, just get O/R H for as cheap as you can. And U can get 2 highflow Magnaflow cats off of this place for around $40 each. Slip it in, u have catted H for less then $250

Thats what I did for my BBK H. bought O/R, and bought 2 Cats for $80shipped. I now have catted H for less then $240

I got the 600 catback off of Flowmasters homepage. I haven't bought it. Because thats a lot of money for a catback. I want to replace it because for 1 I slide into a ditch a year ago and it dinged up one of my exhaust tips, then 2 it has an exhaust leak around the weld on the muffler. and the hangers and all broken on the stock exhaust so I want to just replace everything. When I bought the car I got it from a dealer and it had a prochamber on it, it sounded really good, I liked it a lot. But it was just a little to loud, plus it won't pass emissions where I live so I took it back and had them put the factory h pipe back on.

Maybe I'll go with the o/r h pipe and get some cats welded into it. Wheres some good cheap sites to look for this stuff at?

Probably just as cheap to get a catted H-pipe to begin with...or catted prochamber is probably not much louder than the H. O/R pipe....plus separate cats...plus welding, probably not cheap. Cats are expensive no matter how you buy them. Unless you buy some used cats from somone's stock midpipe, but then what's the point if you're using restrictive cats.
