EZ-Wiring nightmare

Hi, new to the forum. So Ive been installing the ez wire 20 mini in my 68 coupe. A few days ago had it starting all lights worked, but the gauges were out so i took the cluster out and tried again, only when i hooked the battery up the fusible link connected the the solenoid power burned up, and the gauge fuse was blown. I went through and checked the grounds on my alternator and my ignition, disconnected the gauge power put in a new link at the solenoid, and tried to hook the battery up again only huge arcs were coming off the terminal as soon as i touched it to the positive post. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

yep it was a power wire hitting ground on the back of the ignition that was making the link burn away. Now that i fixed it i can supply power without the link burning up. I smelled some burnt plastic in the car so i looked around and found that my fuse block has some damage on it. I have a circuit tester, but no multimeter, should i supply power to it with the damage or should i not risk it?
