Im sure its been covered but will the F303 fit in a stock short block i have a 2000 gt40 motor and wondered if it would fit

It should but just barely, check your valve clearance carefully. I believe .520 is around the max you can run with stock short block.

Will it fit?.... yup
Is it the best choice/alternative for your case?..... nope, there are better choices.

Total valve lift has nothing to do with clearance issues between piston and valves. You can install .535", .542", .583" on a stock block... BTSTDT. You should always check for PtV clearance when it could happen..... during the overlap stage..... when both valves are partially open (never at full lift) at the same time and the piston is near/at TDC.
