Ok, so I am a pretty big sandwich guy. There's just nothing like a well put-together sandwich!

What is your favorite joint? It MUST be a franchise for even voting.

If you want to post, post your fav shop along with what you frequently get.

For me, it has to be Jimmy Johns. Spicey East Coast Italian w/ xtra onion, NO TOMATO, xtra mayo, xtra oregano-basil, xtra Jimmy peppers, and xtra oil/vin

None, local delis blow them all out of the water, hell wawa is better then most chain shops, ain't nothing jersey left about jersey mikes, that's horrible these days

Of those choices mine is Subway, the “Italian BMT” with specific instructions on making it:

Toast the foot long Italian bread first with nothing on it yet and double the toast time so it’s dark, crunchy, and crispy.
Now squirt a whole bunch of red vinegar on both sides. Lots of vinegar!
Now add the meats: Salami, ham, pepperoni. Proceed to install some provolone cheese along with pickles, onions, peppers, lettuce and tomato.
Add a dash of salt and pepper……
Now squirt more red vinegar all over the sandwich.
Close it up, slice it in half, and serve with a bag of salt and vinegar chips and a cold cup of Diet soda or seltzer water.

Primante Bro's. From Pittsburgh, PA, but they do have a few locations in other states.
We had one near me in OH, but was hit by a tornado a few years ago and not rebuilt. :(

Publix deli makes a decent sub, as does QT surprisingly. Then there's Schlotzky's. Don't go there often, but I think they're pretty damned good.

YES!!!!!! When I lived in GA, I worked right door to Publix. It got to the point that I didnt even need to order. They'd see me and knew what I wanted. Holy F those things were amazing! Unfortunately there no Publix's in TX

Vinegar is a MUST on any of my sandwiches! I was BMT lover until trying the spicy Italian. Same meats as the BMT but with pepperoni!

Schlotzky's or Thundercloud for me. Gotta have Austin's originals.

I've tried all of the others except Firehouse, and even have a favorite at each:

Subway: Footlong meatball with pepperoni, pepper jack, extra marinara, onion, bell pepper, parmesan, and oregano on Italian herb and cheese bread.

Jersey Mike's: Giant #13 Mike's Way.

Jason's Deli: Beefeater.

Jimmy John's: Jimmy Cubano... It's such a scrawny and overpriced thing, but so delicious that I order it anyway.

Schlotzky's: Original no olives or the Bacon Smokecheesey.

Thundercloud: Tuna, but I really miss the crab salad sub they used to have.

OMG Schlotskys  They opened up a store here around 2010. I was in LOVE! Fiesta Chicken on sourdough with extra mayo, hot sauce, and balsamic!!!!!! Unfortunately they broke my heart and closed during the pandemic. There are still a few on the other end of my city, but we have a damn mountain range running straight through our city. Because of that, I would have to drive 45 minutes to the next nearest one.
