Finally got the KB 2.8 on the car and on the dyno.

685 RWHP/668 RWTQ STD
668 RWHP/652 RWTQ SAE

28lbs boost!! A/F 11.7 or less (race gas)

This was with 3.25" upper and 6lb lower. We will be trying 4" upper on same lower to try to get a better balance of street and race tune in the next few days.

Thanks to Chris, Larry and Torey at Excessive Motorsports for all the hard work!!!

I haven't changed my signature so ignore the mods listed, they have changed!!

WOW! 28lbs boost on a stock motor. Pretty impressive. Stock exhaust logs or are those numbers with headers?

Hey Meat, I was hoping you'd pick up on this thread.

First thing to all, 28lbs boost is not the way this car will stay, we will be chaning the 3.25 pulley for a 4" pulley and retuning to see what we can do in terms of a reliable street tune with an alternate race tune. I am guessing that we have run up against some other bottleneck, maybe the intercooler cannot support the 2.8's flow at 28lbs boost.

Anyway don't try this at home!! I am thinking that we will get a good solid street tune and an alternate for the track and I am hoping that the track tune is close to these numbers.

Wow, finally drove it. I can't imagine anything like this, power is unlike anything I have ever felt. Can't keep traction with 12 degrees of timing spins all the way through 4th gear ( I haven't even gone to 5th under load!!!).
