So my fuel pump doesn't stop priming when the key is on and I started to look into why. I looked at wiring diagrams and I think I know what the problem is. The previous owner bypassed the inertia switch and it seems like he just ran the hot wire going into the inertia switch to the pump itself through the grommet in the trunk. I'm pretty sure thats why the pump still runs even when I disconnect the pump relay under the seat. My main question is if ya'll think this is really a problem once the car is running. I know obviously it could maybe burn the pump up if I just left it priming but if its not hurting anything then Ill just leave it how it is. Thanks in advance for any help.
