I'm not going to get into the whole good/bad aspects of this. I was just wondering if an alternative would be to place an injection system on each pipe behind the muffler and spray some form of fuel into each.

I wouldn't trust myself with that. Plus I think this would definitely be on the dangerous side. I have heard of kits that use propane from tanks mounted in the trunk. That seemed extremely cheesy and fake to me. Had I done it this way, I would ask everyone to declare me a ricer.

I was just curious as to why you chose to do it the way you are. I would also have to agree.

Good Luck, and I hope you find the answer you're looking for.

The way i chose is the way the hot rod guys do it and the way some older mustang guys have done it and it's the way the kit is set up for. By the way, the flames in 2 fast 2furious were most likely computer added or done with propane. There is no way they could race the car and have flames simultaneously with the real setup. Also, I remeber reading that the pink, blue, green flames were computerized.

check this out! I think it looks cool. It would have to be safe though.

That's true, but it is shooting away from the car plus the flames come out in quick bursts. I doubt it would be able to blow up the gas tank. Anyway I'm probably going to give up since I can't think of anything and you guys aren't being much help. Thank you to everyone that did actually try to help, but I geuss this is just not going to happen.

You "doubt" you will blow up the tank? Sounds like it's worth trying! If you blow up your car or burn someone up with your flamethrower, please let everyone know so no one else tries it!

This has all the earmarks of a potential Darwin Award.

...Dont the new flamethrower kits, use butane or some canned gas. To get around the fuel management issues??

Seems like I read somewhere, they have a small tank of butane to generate the flames...no raw fuel anymore.

Hey I found it heres a quote

http://www.gotflames.net/hypercart/faq.asp#45

Q: Will this kit shoot 30 foot flames like I see on the internet and at car shows?
A: This kit is the major foundation for shooting flames from 1 foot to 30 feet. If you are not happy with the size of your flames you can build an injection system that uses different types of fuels (gas, alcohol, propane etc.), but these type of system are not for the timid and are very serious and dangerous to mess with. It is possible and we do sell plans, but this is serious stuff and will be at your own risk ! By Purchasing a "Got Flames?" kit or any plans from "Got Flames Inc.", you agree to the disclaimer and release any and all liabilities....... (see disclaimer at bottom
