You can paint them body color and get a clear that will do the same as an undercoat. Has kind of a matte finish and is how I did my engine bay. I forget the additive we used but it started as a standard ppg clear. Very durible as i scraped the radiator support pulling the engine and it didnt flake off at all.

I once upon a time used gray rustolium and it eventually flaked off. Remember cheap products, cheap results. Use por15 if you want long lasting results. **** aint cheap though.

Rustoleum us good stuff. They key is prep and the proper amount of thinner. Roll or spray it too thick and it will crack/ Peel.

Ive never like it, i did the same prep i would for paint and even used a spray gun and never came out pleased. So i'll just use products actually made for undercoating.

I'll second the recommendation of using Por15, the price is worth it.

I used Chassis Saver Black. Took the whole underside and engine compartment down to bare metal, two coats of Chassis Saver, two coats of black primer, then two coats of semi-gloss black paint.

Went from this:

I use Chassis Saver too and it's been real good to me. My 2 cents.

DID 1 GALLON COVER THE WHOLE UNDERNEATH AND UNDERHOOD AREAS? OR DO I NEED MORE?
