How do the Flows Sound? Any sound pics??? I've got a Sonic Blue GT ordered and am contemplating which exhaust to do. I really want it to rumble; none of that tingy high pitched stuff at high rpm's. Let me know

If it's rumble you want, it's Flows for you. I've had mine over 2 months now and love 'em. A good healthy rumble at ldle and they come alive when you get on it. I bought mine direct from Flowmaster.

I love that low rumble after especially shifting into second gear.

there is a small drone under 1500 rpm if you are in the wrong gear trying to accellerate. nothing too big, drive right and its fine for me... cruising there are no problems.

Compared to stock, how's the rumble from inside?
Is it noticible when you accelerate?

looks to me that those are regular flowmaster mufflers with the stock tips welded on them, not the axle back kit.

Yes indeed. I loved them when they were on (even thought about paying even more $ to retrofit them onto the Roush exhaust kit and offing the Magnaflow mufflers), so I put the link in in case you might be interested. If not, cool.

Could one of you guys tell me if the exhaust is much louder in the cabin at cruise. I'd appreciate it. Really want to go with the flows, but, I don't want to hear my wife complain about the sound on the hwy.

Thanks

Highway is pretty much noise-free. There is a drone at 1900 rpm though, which can be annoying. Someone said that this is resolved with a pulley swap (they'd used Steeda's), but I never got the chance to check this myself.

The old 1800-2000 RPM drone has been almost eliminated. I have the old series 40's on my '98 Mark VIII and the American Thunder Kit on the '05 GT. The old mufflers have a serious drone, but it's almost completely gone on the new kit. Besides, who drives a GT at 1800 RPM anyway?

Thanks.

I had the 40's on a '98 GT. It seemed like I always hit a rpm/load range for the drone all the time.

1800 rpms. I've had to alter my driving style from shifting when I felt the torque fade to keeping a better eye on the tach because this thing pulls all the way to redline. Then I hit the brickwall rev limiter.

Anyway, I ordered the Flowmaster axle back from Summit. Looking forward . . . .
