Fly cut pistons....stock?

I just tore off my stock heads today to replace them with some afr's. When I pulled the heads off I noticed that all the pistons were fly cut. My car is an 88 gt. I thought they stopped putting in fly cut pistons after 86?? The ford part # on the pistons is E7ZE-6110-CA. Did the car come like this stock or could the engine have been rebuilt at one time?

No they STARTED cutting the pistons in 86

Actually I think its 87 they started,
I know its one of those 2 years

I think they started putting the valve reliefs in 87...because I know for AFR 165's to go on an 86...you have to "flycut" them...
