Could i buy a 50oz flywheel and have a machine shop grind it down to a 28oz imbalance flywheel? I know it sounds off the wall but i was just wondering if it could be done.

yes you can buy a 50oz flywheel and have it rebalanced(not ground down) to a 28oz flywheel, but why would you want to since 28oz flywheels are equally available?
