FMS EFI valve cover intallation/the stock bolts are too long!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Have you heard of this? They didn't come with new hardware just gaskets and cap from FORD. They didn't say I needed longer/different screws.

Since the stock bolts on the new FMS EFI valve covers are too long they are bottoming out before they tighten.

Can I just put washers on there and call it a day?

I wanted to know if longer screws are made for this application and if I should not worry about it as washers may work...or not?

Anyone put on a set of FMS valve covers?

as long as the washer sits flat, it will apply even pressure as the head of the bolt would have.

i dont see why it wouldnt work fine. i dont see how the stock bolts are now too long either. are the gaskets included thinner?

I had cork gaskets on there and replaced with FMS formed rubber pieces.

I thought ot was weird too, that's why I bring it up

i thought the holes were plenty deep for the stock bolts. washers should work fine as long as they are sitting flat. if it bothers you, there may be slightly shorter bolts you can use.

just make sure you get some quality bolts so they dont snap off in the head like alot of cheap hardware does.
