I have a 69 Coupe ("Real" Mustang), love it, signed up to pick brains or even sell and move on. Live in the hills of SW Virginia near Kingsport, Tn. Owned several over the years, mostly 66's loved them all. Old guy......... first new car was a 72 340 Challenger ordered from Tate Dodge in Glen Burnie, Md! Yeah, should have never sold but upon my return from the Tonkin Gulf I kinda lost interest, the 500 Kawasaki I bought was my death wish at that time..........

Having been around since it's debut us old guys will always consider 1st gen as the "real" deal. (; Anything else......... well not so much but the 08's and up are a good imitation.

Well for what it's worth an improvement over what it replaced but is still like comparing a early DeHaviland Comet to a classic DC 3 or 6. Some things just "look" right, some don't (o:

Actually it's a faux non functional scoop that looks close to the real deal stock. Strictly non functional and keeps it under mach.

Yup and they actually work.

thought there was the tell-tale pigtail in the under hood pic ... hood scoop was a great addition to an already great looking ride
always been a fan of the vinyl top on the coupes

True, they were pretty common back in the day. I ordered my Challenger with one. Metallic blue w/black vinyl top. Looked sharp as a tack. Friend even had a spray on job on his 58 chevy pu.
