Hi all, I searched the forums and all over the internet today trying to figure out my foglights. I added a Cobra front bumper to my GT with foglights, but now i do not have any power to the lights. the interior switch doesn't even have power to its light. I checked the fuse and the two relays, but they are ok. I believe the wiring is fine, I only connected them to the new lights. Neither of the lights work, and there is no juice to the switch. Any wiring gurus out there that can help?

thanks.

What year Cobra bumper: 99-01' or 03-04? I have a 99-01' Cobra bumper and it just hooked right up no problem, same as the GT connections. But I know the wiring is different for the 03-04' bumpers and you have to do some splicing I believe.

Not sure if it'll help. but you may want to try this place.

http://www.blueovalindustries.com/products.php?pid=99012313&openparent=9902043&dealer=blueoval

Also, scroll down to bottom where it says, 03-04 Cobra foglight socket

Good luck!

The fog light switch is only powered when the headlights or parking lights are on. Did you remember to turn them on before checking for power?

Did you also check the 20A fuse in the relay/fuse box next to the battery?

yes, i have checked all the fuses in the engine compartment, is there a fog light fuse inside the car? again, the switch has been replaced, and now has power going to the switch. thanks again.

Are you getting power OUT of the switch to the light plugs? Check with a meter and see. The use of a meter will save you chasing the unknown only to still have questions. I always check for power at the light, then work back from there. Any fuse you would have in the system would most likely be before the switch. Power at the switch, then any relays and then the lights.

I agree, get a test light or a mutlimeter and check the power at the sockets when you have them on, have you tried pluging a stock GT foglight setup back into the connectors to see if they power up ?
