There is some horrible sqeaking from my front suspension on my 1991 mustang 5.0 when I go over bumps. Sounds like the whole car is coming apart at times. It only happens when I am going over speed bumps or hills. Any help?

If it's that bad, how does it only happen while going over speedbumps?

As noted, give the front end a once over. End links like to make noise on speedbumps but they generally make a metallic clicking.

Strut bushings can make a lot of noise as the damper compresses and they deflect. Check yours.

And please let folks know what year and sort of mods your car's suspension has.

Yeah it's that bad and it only happens when the car is riding over bumps or rocky surfaces. I did say the car is a 1991 mustang gt. It's all stock.....everything.

It is probably the sway bar bushings. I had that happen on mine and I just replaced them. It could be the end links too, and I would just replace both while you are at it and have it apart.

You could spray some WD on them and see if it helps at all, if you are still unsure, but it is hard to get it inside the sway bar bushings. That is not a fix just a way to find out what it is, you will need to replace them. You can buy bushings that you can grease as well.
