We just got a new restoration project in last weekend. Its been sitting for about 15 years in the shade. Nature has taken its toll on it but its definatly worth saving. Its a 70 Cuda AAR one of 1301 and one of 18 black ones. Its a mess and has its share of 80s hot rodding on it. Even a foot print high beam switch hahah. Its originally a 340 4 speed car but now has a 440 auto in it. Figured you guys might like seeing a little bit of Muscle Car history!

No way, this car is going 100 percent original. Its a black on black car and it seems to be a very rare combination.

love those cars, got any leads on the original engine? That'd really bring the value up.

This thing has been beaten during its life. Were thinking the original engine is loooong gone. There are old etown stickers all over it so were thinkin he raced the crap out of it. Were just going to try to locate a date correct engine for her.

Very nice. I knew where that was one of those a few years back. I think the guy wanted 15k for it and it looks pretty rough.

A true AAR! Fan-fuggin-tastic!!! Don"t you love buying a POS just to have a VIN tag to rebuild with.

yea lol, I'm not sure how much the guy bought it for but he's beein trying to buy this car from the guy for YEARS cause the seller didnt want to part with it but ended up giving her up cause he knew he would never do anything with it. It's so nice that a major icon in Muscle Car racing history is being preserved, and this car is very very rough! I guess I'll post some pics of the progress, dunno if it will be frowned upon by the mods but this is the only place I post pics (besides corral). I can't wait to chow into this thing, I've been doing a 66 GTO convertible for the last year and thats almost done, got a 66 coupe to start on at the end of the week and then hopefully we'll be able to tear the cuda down and start on that puppy. Surprisingly alot of the parts are available new!

Its hard to get people to part with something when they think they will have time for it later. 67 vette on a farm on the Eastern shore of maryland thats been sitting since 79 that I tried to get a few years ago. Still there, guy wont give it up.

That'll be a sweet car when its done. There was an AAR around here that sat in a field for years. I could never convince the guy to sell it. A few years later it was gone, hopefully to be restored.

I had a 71 Challenger w/440 I got when I was 19 and sold a few years ago because I was never going to able to give it the attention it needed to be restored. I see it around town every now and again and its nice to see it returned to is original condition.

It is a shame that people don't part with cars cause they would go to someone who would actually take care of them and cherish them. 67's are worth alot too since its the last year for the mid years. We had one at the shop appraised at 75000!

Sure is, well all he has to do is write a check and then all that work is up to us in the shop! haha

Yea, apparently it ran and drove when it was parked. The thing has been butchered up pretty bad over the years, loads of bondo and hack work. I'll do it up looking factory again, you wont be able to tell anything was done to it. (besides looking good lol)

Yea, when the car got registered in NY the state made him take off the side exhaust and put it out the back.
