Can I get a new CT? Something besides BANNED

i just have a quick question, i noticed that all my windows except the rear and possibly the actual windows int he door have the VIN# stamped on them, do any of you guys 01 GT have the vin stamped on the window?

Mine does not have VIN etching.

I have an 02 and mine does not...I have never heard of the VIN etched in the window.

In my city, the police will do it for you at no charge (or a small donation to a charity). They set up twice a year in the lot at headquarters.

It's a dealer/aftermarket option. It's intended to deter theft by marking the windows. In theory, it makes it harder for chop shops to sell the parts if they are serially marked. You can get kits online for $20. They mail you a stencil with your VIN and some etching acid.
