so the guys at my local Ford stealership are saying they can only sell me a throw-out bearing WITH the clutch fork... doesn't seem right to me.

does anyone have the part # for a Ford throw-out bearing?

thanks.

I can't help you with the Ford part number, but I have a NIB Centerforce TOB that I can part with if you're interested. For some reason I want to say that Ford TOBs are made by Valeo though. Don't quote me on that, but if that's the case, maybe this link will help.

i did the parts store tob and 8 months later, it's poopin out on me...

gonna go w/ a Ford OEM unit this time, but the guys at my local stealership seem to think it's stuck on the clutch fork.

found one at another dealership down the ol' road.

Blaise: if i didn't need it in such a hurry, i'd definitely consider it--thanks, though man!

Urban: how's it working out for you? was it a Napa brand part (possibly a disguised Ford piece?)? how long have you had it?

Although my clutch seems to have plenty of life left on it, the release bearing is starting to whine. Its really noticeable in colder weather. With over 129K miles on the clock I guess its due for replacement.

I have had other brands, but go back to the OEM one both times. Lots of wear and tear and no problems.

thanks, Chris! didn't even think to check that thread--I should've!

Paul--my thinking exactly.

Juiced--seems like it can take some abuse, but I need one asap and one of the stealerships here has one in stock, so I'm gonna go w/ it. thanks for the recommendation, though. if this one manages to crap on me, too, i'll give the McLeoud one a shot.
