I'll give you a great example of media bias.

Whenever Ford has a recall, it's big news. All night long there will be promotions for the local news "More trouble for Detroit, find out which of the big 3 has more problems at 11." Then when they finally get to the story it usually goes: "Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Ford, they have another costly recall..........."

On the other hand Toyota has gotten a free pass on their defective engines that sludge up. The major news media outlets have barely reported the story. Toyota finally agreed to abitration a couple weeks ago but nobody reported it. Toyota recalled more vehicles in 2006 than it sold in the US. But again it was barely reported. The few news stories I read / saw on any of the Toyota recalls glossed over the story like it was no big deal.
