FOTM voting rules and regulations

1. You can nominate any Stangnet member’s ride for FOTM provided said vehicle has not been declared a winner in the last 12 months.
2. You can nominate one and ONE ride only.
3. You cannot nominate yourself.
4. A nomination thread will be created at the beginning of each month in which pics can be submitted when nominating a ride. After five days, the nominees will be entered into a voting thread which will contain a poll, and five days later a winner will be announced.
5. It is preferred that at least three pics be presented when nominating so that other members can adequately judge the vehicle and thereby vote for it in the poll.
6. Do not post comments in the voting thread! It is there for the purposes of nominations and poll voting only! Do not second a nomination. All nominated rides will make the poll!
7. FOTM winners will be eligible for FOTY.
8. Nominees who do not win can be nominated again the following month and so on.
9. The member must still own the ride.

Eligibility

1. In order to be declared a winner for FOTM, the ride must have received the most number of votes in the poll (obviously).
2. The owner of the vehicle must be able to provide at least one exterior pic, one interior pic and one engine pic! It is not necessary to provide more than six total pics although the previous criteria must be satisfied! He or she will also provide a brief bio and history of the vehicle along with what mods have been done.
3. The member will have up to three days after the poll ends to provide the info otherwise the ride receiving the second most votes will be declared winner (provided it meets all the requirements).

I hope this clears things up a bit. If there's anything I've missed then let me know. Let's keep this going, I know we can make it work!

Although I think that the time limits are a bit short, I DO like that you've got a base set of rules down.

4. A voting thread will be created at the beginning of each month in which pics can be submitted when nominating a ride. After five days, the nominees will be entered into a poll and three days later a winner will be announced.

I might suggest that you change this to read NOMINATION THREAD. Your voting thread will be the one with the poll in it, correct?

I.E. thread titles such as:

November FOTM Nomination Thread (which of course would contain the nominations)
--and--
November FOTM Voting Thread (which would contain your poll)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've revised the post accordingly.

Yep Daggar has it down. But i think voting should be longer. At least 5 days.

so can someone JUST be nominated? ie) there are a couple members on here that i remember their names, but dont have any pics of their car to post... could they be nominated then someone (or them) add pictures after?

are previous FOTM winners (from the first try at this) allowed to run in this one again now?

See rule 5.

You MUST be able to provide the required information/pics if you're going to nominate someone.

We're not nominating ghost vehicles.... that would be useless.

If you can't get the stuff together then you can't nominate. You'll have to try and get it together for the following month.

Now that you mention it though. I DO think that the rules should establish EXACTLY what the minimum requirements are to make a nomination.
