Wow, that must have been noisy as heck. How does the bearing retainer on the front of the trans look?

The front bearing retainer looked pretty good. I'll clean everything up tomorrow and inspect it a little better. The weird thing is it never made much noise, so i didn't think it was gonna be so bad.

Took the clutch and flywheel off today. The clutch is pretty worn and the flywheel has small cracks all over. Looks like i'm gonna need everything. Clutch kit, flywheel, and clutch fork. Wonderful. At least when i get that all replaced my car should drive much better!!

You may not need a cable right now, but pick up the OEM cable and fork kit from Summit for like $35. At worst you'll have a spare cable hanging around...

Yeah, i wish i had checked it out sooner. At first i thought in was a bad cable or an adjustment issue, so i did buy a new cable. It just didn't make that much noise. Maybe i should get a quieter exhaust!!

I can't see how it's possible that there's that much damage to the TOB & clutch fork, and not have the bearing retainer be completely destroyed.

I had trouble engaging and disengaging the clutch. I have an aftermarket quadrant, firewall adjuster, and kc clutch. When i would start of in first, i had to push the pedal all the way to the floor, and the clutch would still try to grab. As i released the pedal, the clutch grabbed a little more when it is barely off the floor. Then the pedal wouldn't release the clutch fully till its almost all the way up. Then when i shifted, i had to pull it out of gear without using the clutch or it was hard to get out of gear. Then i would push in the clutch and wait for it to fall into the next gear. Most of the time it was easier to shift without the clutch.
