Not afraid to say that i would rock either one of those cars, the wagon or the truckstang. If the wagon had a stock hood or something with a slight cowl and was a darker color then it would be gooder, still drive it as it is.

I was gonna put an aero nose on one of my fairmonts. There is differences in the cowl areas , and a fairmont has more room between the strut tower and firewall, so I nixed the plan. I think the wagon is kinda cool though.
Be waaay cool if it was a two door wagon.

Ya know, i bet the hardest part of that swap is finding a clean wagon to do it with, after that it would just about be like working on a mustang.

Thats basically what I race (see profile pic) although if it helps it was completely rusted beyond repair and was found in a field abandon with rats living inside, they ate most all interior and wiring and from the front seats back was gone from rust since it was half burried in the ground.

Throw a four eye conversion on that bad boy and call it a day. I'd drive it til the wheels fell off and then some.

Different color paint, different hood, and get rid of whatever those black louvers or heat extractors are on the front fenders and I'd drive the hell out of it. The truckstang looks sweet!

think Mercury Zephyr lol... just found why it looks so familiar.

My buddy had a 78 Z with an I6.

This was a Zephyr wagon to start, I'm almost certain..

Haha nice catch! They don't look nearly as bad painted to match the car, black though they stick out like a sore thumb.

I LOVE wagons! Maybe I am sick. I have also had thoughts of a two door conversion on a Fairmont wagon with a mustang front clip, doors, quarters and the whole deal. I just could never figure out the tail lights.

Of the Fairmonts the Futura 2 door version is still my favorite though and makes for a good sleeper.

Closest I ever came to that was the 81 Grenada I inherited from my mother. It came with a straight 6 and wouldn't get out of it's own way.... until the 85 HO went into it.

Oh... and it had a cup holder!

I'd rock a wagon, Cadillac CTS-V Wagon, 556HP, White exterior with Black Leather. Would love to pick up used one, maybe someone not happy about the wagon, take a bath on the new car smell, then I'll snag it for a lot less.

Thats just evil. Whats the background on it? I'd love to build an old fairmont in some shade of puke green.
