This is my first SVT Cobra. I have been a Saleen guy up until now. I have 30,000 miles on the car. Fronts are 245's and same in the rear. Car is great except for one minor problem... The front end tries to grab every rut on the road possible. I am actually muscling the steering wheel at times. Kinda tiring to drive. Any ideas?

Get it alighned. If that does not fix it you need tires.

I have 275's in the front of our 01 and does not wander at all.

Perfect, I just called and scheduled my appointment for tomorrow at 3. Thanks Cavallo.

On a side note, how have you been?

245 is an odd size, it does grab a bit more then other sizes.

I remember switching from the 275/315 combo on my GT back to 245/245 and amazed how it tracked the grooves in the roads around here.

Some stretches of roads are worse then others (like 164th in Lynwood) but I haven't noticed as many issues with the 275s on the Cobra.

Another example was with the stock v6 rims on the other car, I think it was 215 and once the 8'' rims with 245s were on the car 'suddenly' began to track the grooves much more fiercely.

The solution to your problem is to stay off of I-5, especially in Snohomish county.

Seriously, more than likely the caster setting is off. If you have caster/camber plates the alignment should take care of it easily.
