Hoping someone out there can help me. I own a 96 GT convertible. When I drive it, the passenger side by the wheel feels like it is moving up and down. It is not a shaking but a movement of up and down. I parked this daily driver since this started happening. Could it be: Brakes? Tie rods? bearings? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like a vibration or steady up & down movement like a strut going out? Possible tire out of balance? The description is a little hard to visualize.

no vibration just an up and down movement. If you think it is the struts, do you recommend any specific ones? I went outside and manually pushed it up and down, I easily did that. Anything else that could make it go up and down?

If you are getting no vibration, shimmy, shake, ects, could possibly be the strut.
I would go threw all the joints to see if there is any play before you start spending money, this way you can narrow it down some what.

Do you have the stock suspension? If so then you have worn springs and shot struts.
If you want a nice ride and great handling then I suggest the Eibach Pro kit without the sway bars. Car will ride 100x better then stock and handle 100x better too. Its a mild drop but very well engineered setup.
I would also suggest some FLSFCs
