This is a stock oil filter relocator as seen on the Ford Explorers. This fit's the stock 5.0 block however and can be used for the mustang.

What year explorer?How exactly does it work?Does it screw into the factory spot and position the filter downwards?peace

It came off a 96 or 97 I think. It screwed in using a giant hollow bolt (which I believe I still have).

OK does it go pointed down?I need to figure something out for my new set up,my oil filter dosent clear anymore peace

Ok, so it actually points the oil filter FORWARD rather than down. Something else that is interesting is...it allows easy fit of the optional oil cooler which came on some explorers.

Here is a pic of the cooler (I do not have this)




and here is a pic of an explorer motor...

Well i dont need the cooler just the relocater part.But then to i'm not sure if it will clear my exhust?Can you measure the total overall lenth with filter (minus cooler) and LMK?I'll go measure how much room i have also in the mean time. You take pay pal?peace

I don't have the cooler...I was just referencing it as many people pick up this specific reloactor to be able to easily hook it up (great for cooling down hot oil on a turbo setup).

I can measure it for sure...but you'll need to keep in mind that the length will be based off of the shorter explorer oil filter (which is fine to use on the mustang). I'll get to it later today.
