where are the fuel filter and the fuel pump located on an 87 5.0?

the fuel pump will either be mounted to the chassis under the car or inside the gas tank.
and the fuel filter should be mounted on the chassis
make sure before you change it to depressurize the fuel lines or could have a mess

Yes indeed the fuel filter is on the frame rail near the fuel tank and the pump should be actually attached to it on your car (87)

The fuel pump is inside the tank and cannot be accessed without dropping the tank. The fuel filter is directly in front of the tank up under the trunk area of the car to the right side. You can easily get to that.

This applies to the 87-93 cars.
